Republicans are weighing in on President Obama’s stimulus plan. “We reject anything that helps America,” said one prominent Republican Senator. “Eight years of failure down the drain,” said Senator John McCain speaking from one is his 7 homes. “We Republicans are responsible for bringing war and economic ruin, and we will not stop until the United States in plunged into a Depression to end all Depressions. Who does Obama think he is?!”
With Americans suffering, many facing foreclosure, losing jobs, Democrats sipped margaritas, played golf and lounged at the pool. “I’m so happy they are having a spa day,” said Fred, whose family became homeless after he lost his job and then their home. “I was so worried they would be concerned about the state of the nation that they would not have a good time.”
President Obama encouraged Democrats to enjoy the resort. “Wells Fargo had the place books until I threatened to take away the bailout money. How inappropriate is it to party and enjoy oneself when Americans are suffering. I’m glad I took a stand and got the reservations instead. It’s good to be president.”
